The Best is Yet to Come

The only way for us to have long-term happiness and success is to live by our highest principles, to consistently act in accordance with what we believe our life is in fact about. That voice you hear inside you motivating you to take risks and follow your dreams is your instinctive calling to the true purpose in your heart and mind. Don’t ignore it. Be enthusiastic about all that you do, and the opportunities that lie ahead. Have the courage to pursue your calling. Don’t die with your music still in you. The Best is yet to Come.

There is hope!

Remember, it’s always darkest just before the dawn. Never underestimate the strength of your will to live after a loss, to love after heartache, or to rise after a fall. For although your troubles may be too dense and dark right now for you to see the light, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a strong spirit within them, or a beautiful sunrise just beyond the horizon.

There is always hope and you should never give up but move forward.

Everything Happens for your own good

Nothing is more beautiful and powerful than a smile that has struggled through the tears. Don’t regret your time, even the moments that were filled with hurt. Smile because you learned from it and gained the strength to rise above it. In the end, it’s not what you have been through that defines who you are; it’s how you got through it that has made you the person you are today, and the person you are capable of being tomorrow.

What if ?

No matter what happens, no matter the outcome, you’re going to be just fine. Let the things you can’t control, happen. Allow the universe to bless you in surprising and joyful ways.

What if, instead of pushing so hard to make life happen, you decided to let go a little and allow life to happen to you?
What if, instead of trying to always be in control, you sometimes surrendered control to something bigger than yourself?
What if, instead of working so hard to figure out every last answer, you allowed yourself to be guided to the solution in perfect timing?

What if in the course of going through life's ups and downs, you just discovered a novel way to be happy.

Follow your Heart and your Intuition

Don’t be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams. Live the life you want to live. Be the person you want to remember years from now. Make decisions and act on them. Make mistakes, fall and try again. Even if you fall a thousand times, at least you won’t have to wonder what could have been. At least you will know in your heart that you gave your dreams your best shot.

Each of us has a fire in our hearts burning for something. It’s our responsibility in life to find it and keep it lit. This is your life, and it’s a short one. Don’t let others extinguish your flame. Try what you want to try. Go where you want to go. Follow your own intuition. Dream with your eyes open until you know exactly what it looks like. Then do at least one thing every day to make it a reality.

And as you strive to achieve your goals, you can count on there being some fairly substantial disappointments along the way. Don’t get discouraged, the road to your dreams may not be an easy one. Think of these disappointments as challenges – tests of persistence and courage. At the end of the road, more often than not, we regret what we didn’t do far more than what we did.

Your past is indicative of your future.

Do not judge failed attempts and mistakes as an indication of your future potential, but as part of the growth process. Something does not have to end well for it to have been one of the most valuable experiences of a lifetime.

When times get tough, take a deep breath. Know that most great things come when you least expect it. Keep working and it will work itself out. Being defeated is a temporary condition; giving up is what makes it permanent.

Just A Quote

We are addicted to our thoughts.
We cannot change anything if we cannot change our thinking.

Focus is everything & Failure is essential

When you are too busy looking behind and around you, people are passing you. If you never focus clearly on something, you will never be 100% efficient at anything. Multi-tasking might seem to make you efficient at getting multiple tasks done at once, but it usually reduces your efficiency in dealing with each individual task.

Don’t regret later in your life over what you should have tried, but didn’t because you were afraid you would fail. Just do it, and be willing to fail and learn along the way. Very few people get it right the first time. In fact, most people fail to get it right the first time they try. If what you did today didn’t turn out as you expected, tomorrow is a new opportunity to do it differently. Interpret each failure as a lesson on the road to success.

There is no progress without action.

What is not started today is never finished tomorrow. Some of the greatest ideas never made it. Why? Because the genius behind the idea failed to take action. Just remember, no action always results in a 100% failure rate. So get into action now, and begin to move in the right direction. Once you get started every step afterwards gets easier and easier. Until eventually, what had once been invisible, starts to become visible, and what once felt unattainable, starts to become a reality.

Persistence always wins. As Winston Churchill once said, “Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” It may take more than one swing to compose an efficient hit, so make sure not to give up on strike #1. And remember, a river cuts through rocks not because of its power at a given moment, but because of its persistence over time.

ONE STORMY NIGHT

One stormy night many years ago, an elderly man and his wife entered the lobby of a small hotel in Philadelphia. Trying to get out of the rain, the couple approached the front desk hoping to get some shelter for the night.

“Could you possibly give us a room here?” the husband asked. The clerk, a friendly man with a winning smile, looked at the couple and explained that there were three conventions in town.

“All of our rooms are taken,” the clerk said. “But I can’t send a nice couple like you out into the rain at one o’clock in the morning. Would you perhaps be willing to sleep in my room? It’s not exactly a suite, but it will be good enough to make you folks comfortable for the night.”

When the couple declined, the young man pressed on. “Don’t worry about me; I’ll make out just fine,” the clerk told them. So the couple agreed.

As he paid his bill the next morning, the elderly man said to the clerk, “You are the kind of manager who should be the boss of the best hotel in the United States. Maybe someday I’ll build one for you.”

The clerk looked at them and smiled. The three of them had a good laugh.

As they drove away, the elderly couple agreed that the helpful clerk was indeed exceptional, as finding people who are both friendly and helpful isn’t easy.

Two years passed. The clerk had almost forgotten the incident when he received a letter from the old man. It recalled that stormy night and enclosed a round-trip ticket to New York, asking the young man to pay them a visit.

The old man met him in New York, and led him to the corner of Fifth Avenue and 34th Street. He then pointed to a great new building there, a palace of reddish stone, with turrets and watchtowers thrusting up to the sky.

“That,” said the older man, “is the hotel I have just built for you to manage.”

“You must be joking,” the young man said.

“I can assure you I am not,” said the older man, a sly smile playing around his mouth.

The older man’s name was William Waldorf Astor, and the magnificent structure was the original Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.

The young clerk who became its first manager was George C. Boldt. This young clerk never foresaw the turn of events that would lead him to become the manager of one of the world’s most glamorous hotels.

The Bible says that we are not to turn our backs on those who are in need, for we might be entertaining angels. Life is more accurately measured by the lives you touch than the things you acquire…

Catching Fireflies

When you first see a firefly light up the darkness, the moment takes on a magical quality. It makes you catch your breath and stop what you’re doing. Your senses are suddenly heightened as you watch intently for the next flash of light, never quite sure where it will come from. Teaching children to “catch fireflies” can be a magical adventure as well. I’m not talking about the little lightning bugs found in nature, but the kind of “fireflies” that are those sparkling moments in our lives that brighten our day and make us feel better.

They are the small moments of brilliance and joy we discover in the course of a normal day that can bring light into our lives and make us want to share the good feelings. It may be an affirming word, an unexpected surprise, an act of kindness, a touch of beauty found in nature, a smile, a hug, and countless other examples of things that lift our spirits and make the world a better place. “Fireflies” are “God moments”…those times we suddenly become aware that God is in the moment, touching our lives in a special way, and we are encouraged and inspired by that personal touch.

Be Blessed.

Return to the Road to Freedom

When suddenly you seem to lose all you thought you had gained, do not despair. Your healing is not a straight line. You must expect setbacks and regressions. Don't say to yourself, 'All is lost, I have to start all over again.' This is not true. What you have gained, you have gained.

Sometimes little things build up and make you lose ground for a moment. It is important not to dwell on the small moments when you feel pulled away from your progress. Try to return home, to the freedom you always enjoyed. It is easier to return to the road when you are on the shoulder than when you are pulled all the way into a nearby swamp.

In everything you do, keep trusting that God is with you, that God has given you companions on the journey. Keep returning to the road to freedom, if you drift away.

Let go, Let God ( A Poem)

As children bring their broken toys with tears for us to mend,
I bought my broken dreams to God,
because He was my friend.
But then, instead of leaving Him at peace to work alone,
I hung around, and tried to help
with ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back and cried,
"How can you be so slow?"
"My child, "He said, " what could I do? You never did let go."

After thought: Faith is handing something to God and taking my hands off it.

Need for growth

How often does a man ruin his disciples by remaining with them. When men are trained, it is essential that their leader leave them, for without his absence they cannot develop themselves.
After all, Plants always remain small under a big tree!

Never react too soon

Looking back in our lives we may realise that on various occasions we have judged the other person wrongly and all because we never heard the complete story. Let me share with you a true story of a couple. A woman wanted to reach her husband on his mobile phone, she instructed her son to call his daddy and pass across an urgent message to him, who was on site. After the boy had called, he got back to mummy to inform her that there was a lady that picked up daddy’s phone the three times he tried reaching dad on the mobile. Without further questioning her son,she waited impatiently for her husband to return from work and upon seeing him in the driveway, she rushed out and let him have it.People from the neighborhood rushed around to find out what the cause of the commotion was. The woman then asked the boy to tell everybody what the lady at the other end said to him when he called. The boy honestly replied “The subscriber you have dialed is not available at present. Please Try Again Later” Isn't it true that we tend to be impatient and fail to listen to the complete version of the event of another person? we tend to react hastily. In the process we hurt others and at times a good relationship goes sour.Surely it would help us always to listen to others first and then if need be to give a reply appropriately.

Don't let that be you!

Are you living every day filled with hope and expectancy? Are you living life to the fullest? So many people today have simply lost their enthusiasm for life. At one time, they were excited about their future. They were pursuing their dream, but along the way, they hit some roadblocks. Things didn't work out, and now they're just going through the motions of life. They quit dreaming. They quit pursuing their goals. They lost their purpose. Don't let that be you! Make the choice to stay alive your whole life by keeping your dreams in front of you. Remember, you have a purpose. You have a destiny. You didn't just accidentally show up on planet Earth. God has created you to make a difference—to impact our society—to make this world a better place. On the inside of you right now, there are dreams and desires put there by the Creator of the universe. Don't let the pressures of life push those dreams down. Stir up those dreams. Stir up those gifts. Shake off every disappointment and press forward. This is a new day. Get a new vision. Make up your mind that no matter what comes your way, you're going to keep pressing forward. You're going to keep growing. You're going to keep learning. You're going to stay active. If you will stay passionate about life, knowing what your purpose is and being your best every day, God will pour out His blessings and favor on you, and you will live the life of victory He has in store!

One Person at a time

I like the story of the "star thrower", about a man walking on a beach after a storm, throwing starfish into the ocean so they wouldn't die on the shore. Someone criticizes him for wasting his time, noting that there are millions of starfish dying, and that the few he saves wouldn't make much difference. The man silently bends over, throws another starfish into the surf and replies, "It made a difference for that one." We all know that, if we look around us,There is so much to do and yet say to ourselves, is it worth it to do something? what difference will my efforts make to such a massive problem of poverty or illiteracy or even unemployment? Just like it made a difference to the "starfish" which was thrown back into the sea, it will make a world of difference to the world around us, if we only do our bit of duty and not looked at the masses who are not doing it at all.One person at a time is all we need, to save this world.

Do we trust God

A man was being chased by a tiger. He ran as hard as he could until he was at the edge of a cliff with the tiger in hot pursuit. The man looked over the edge of the cliff and saw a branch growing out of the side of the cliff a few feet down. He jumped down and grabbed the branch just as the tiger reached the cliff. The tiger growled viciously as the man sighed a great sigh of relief. Just then a mouse came out from a crevice and began to chew on the branch. The man looked down to what was a drop of a thousand feet and sure death and looked to the heavens and yelled out, “Dear God, if you are there, please help. I will do anything you ask but please help.” Suddenly a voice came booming down from heaven, “You will do anything I ask?” it questioned. The man shocked to hear a reply to his plea yelled back, “I will gladly do anything you ask, but please save me.” The voice from heaven then replied, “There is one way to save you but it will take courage and faith.” The branch began to weaken from the mouse and the tiger was still growling a few feet above the man, “Please, Lord, tell me what I must do and I will do it. Your will is my will.” The voice from heaven then said, “All right then, let go of the branch.” The man looked down to a fall of a thousand feet and certain death. He looked up at the hungry tiger a few feet away and he looked at the mouse still chewing on the branch. Then he looked up at the heavens and yelled, “Is there anyone else up there?”
